State Officials Flag Texas Voters For Citizenship Checks

The Texas secretary of state compiled a list of voters for citizenship checks that contains 95,000 names. It has not been made clear yet how many of those individuals are U.S. citizens or not but in short order, our Texas Attorney General, Ken Paxton tweeted out:

“VOTER FRAUD ALERT: The @TXsecofstate discovered approx 95,000 individuals identified by DPS as non-U.S. citizens have a matching voter registration record in TX, approx 58,000 of whom have voted in TX elections. Any illegal vote deprives Americans of their voice.”

See Texas Tribune post here: Texas officials flag tens of thousands of voters for citizenship checks

This is how you create a frenzy. State officials flag tens of thousands of voters for a citizenship check and that's all they need to do.
Groundwork laid.
The Texas AG will take it from here attempting to craft a narrative that creates a path for future restrictive voter laws that will only disenfranchise Texas voters. Restrictive voter laws that are built upon these kinds of tactics or variations of them have plagued voters for generations in this country.
To be clear: The state has NOT said that they've uncovered any instances in these flags of illegal voting.

All the more reason we need to urge our legislators to get behind laws that support Texas voters, not obstruct them!
